Synopsis: A multi phase project
consisting of all required high and low pressure natural gas piping beginning from utility
entrance to and including main gas regulation station for two (two) central power houses.
Provide and install all required plant internal pipe distribution system to six (6)
multi-fired power boilers. Provide all associated design for piping, hangers, and
supports.
Provide and install all required components to convert
two (2) power boilers to burn natural gas Convert the existing #6 fuel oil burners, four
(4) on each unit to multi-fuel burners. Modify and install all required components to
upgrade the existing fuel oil, atomizing steam, and air Systems per current NFPA and ASME
requirements.
Install four (4) ABBICE Low Nox retrofit burner units into one (I)
power boiler. These were R&D units provided by the manufacturer to fire into the
existing CE boiler. Coordinate all mechanical services between the supplier, engineer, and
customer. Install all piping and components associated with fuel gas, fuel oil, atomizing
steam, instrument and cooling air.
Retrofit three (3) power boilers consisting of four (4) burners on two (2)
units and two (2) burners on one (1) unit to multi-fuel Low Nox burners. Install new
windboxes and all associated combustion duct modifications. Provide and install all
required components to install individual FGR systems to each unit. Provide all refractory
and insulation services as required. Install all piping and components associated with
fuel gas, fuel oil, atomizing steam, instrument and cooling air.
Install all piping and components required to automate three (3)
boiler soot blowing systems. Modify existing soot blowers from manual to electric
automatic.
Remove one (1) existing Lungstrom air heater and install one (1)
feedwater economizer in its place. Provide all duct design and fabrication required
between the existing flue gas and combustion air systems. Provide all required feedwater
piping between existing plant services and the new economizer system. Provide an upgrade
design and installation of existing plant feedwater systems. Provide all associated design
for piping, hangers, and supports.
